also known as the non-how-to, how to.
our last day in aus was full of sunshine, we drove from the blue mountains into sydney and out to bondi beach (just like on tv!) the beach was much busier than i would have thought for april – so many people in the water swimming and surfing, but it was a lovely sunny day. and then it was off to the airport and home again,
day seven of our aus adventure took us up the blue mountains, and oh my, absolutely breathtaking it was. it was such a lovely way to end a a wonderful week in australia.
after the drive down (or up?) to the mountains, we made a quick stop to admire the view (the view tomorrow!) and then off to lilanfels for high tea. it was a neat and unique experience. the food was divine – and surprisingly filling for what seemed to be small portions, looks can be deceiving!
after lilanfels, we went over to scenic world where we rode the steepest incline railway in the world (and boy, was it steep), took a walk around the walkway – such amazing mining history, rode back up on the cable car and then across the skyway.
words cannot describe just how beautiful i thought the blue mountains were.
after our walk along nobbys beach, we went up to fort scratchley to watch the cannons being fired for anzac day. and then to bar beach for lunch. the fish and chips were really good, but both the mr and i were shocked at the prices! and then it was off for a short walk up to mount sugarloaf - the view! absolutely beautiful.
