the weekend was full of baking, but i haven’t yet found the time to take the photos off the camera … so another disposable shot …

day eleven
today was a busy one.
a sour cream and banana cake made.
a raspberry slice made.
the recipe for strawberry chiffon cake written out, ready for the morning.
all for the mr.’s birthday tomorrow.
the first cake was simple, the little miss did a great job helping.
the slice? not so easy. well, it would have been, had a million different things not gone wrong.
but, i wont bore you, or myself by going over all the mishaps.
the day got better, a walk to drop the little miss off. the afternoon spent with my little man.
a walk back to pick little miss up, of course it starts to rain just as we start to walk home.
i watched everyone put their heads down, run for their cars….
the little ones and i put our heads up, soaked up the rain and searched for the rainbow.
home again, to wrap presents (i like to leave things late…)
a quick scan of my disposable camera’s photos.
and then out again, a delicious dinner with the mr.’s family. and cake.
funny, today doesn’t seem that busy when written out like that. but there was the boring stuff too …
laundry and dishes (all that baking, all those dishes), other daily chores.
but it felt busy. and oh, am i thankful its time for my head to hit the pillow now …

Love me some grain
As promised, photos from our trip to the local pools a few weekends back. Lots of the photos taken in the indoor pool didn’t turn out, but most of the outdoor ones did – and got to love me some grain! :-)
I love that in this last one, biggy-boo is the only one with his eyes open. (That’s my sister, Anna, holding little miss.)
And the way little miss was rubbing her face underwater reminded me of this shot, taken August 2008 – wow how time flies!
