dinner at the beach.
the wind was wild.
for a place that is constantly moving and changing,
i feel such stillness there.

searching for balance.
(and making more cookies.)

today, courage was needed.
i had some news that really shook me.
some sun, the beach and a few instant photos helped.

weekending

more swan plants brought
the last, i swear.
a picnic at the park
lying on the blanket
looking up through the trees
cloud watching and day dreaming
beach walking and feather searching
relaxing and enjoying
the last few days of the holidays.

it was so nice to feel the sand underfoot and listen to the waves.
i could have stayed there all day.

the sun finally came out.
i cleaned up while dancing around the kitchen to this and this.
and then i ate a cookie. or four.

there was misty rain when we woke
so we spent the morning inside
i baked cupcakes
while the had a dance party in the lounge.

and then they joined me in the kitchen
together we made thumbprint cookies
just like i remember making
when i was small.
they took turns making the little ‘well’ in the centre
the eldest deciding they should be called moon cookies instead
she said the ‘wells’ were like the craters on the moon
so from now on, moon cookies.
